For this Privacy Policy, the controller of personal information collected through the Yarlix.lk website and related customer communications is Yarlix.lk, operated by Nexora Labs (Pvt) Ltd, Jaffna, Sri Lanka.

This page explains our current practices in plain language. It is not professional legal advice and does not claim guaranteed compliance with any specific statute.

Information we collect

Yarlix may collect the following information when you voluntarily inquire, communicate with us, or complete a transaction:

  • Telephone or WhatsApp number
  • Email address when you provide one
  • Delivery location or address when required for an order
  • Optional location and inquiry notes
  • Selected product slugs or items and quantities
  • Inquiry and communication history
  • Delivery, return, refund and warranty information
  • Proof of purchase
  • Technical security information such as IP address, browser or device information, request timestamps and server logs

Yarlix does not currently operate a customer account system. You can browse the catalogue without creating an account.

How we use information

We use personal information for purposes such as:

  • Responding to product inquiries
  • Confirming availability and pricing
  • Arranging delivery
  • Providing customer support
  • Handling returns, refunds and warranty claims
  • Preventing abuse and securing the service
  • Maintaining business and legal records
  • Complying with applicable law

Browser storage

Wishlist

Product slugs are stored in your browser Local Storage so you can keep a personal wishlist on the device you are using.

Inquiry list

Product slugs and quantities are stored in your browser Local Storage so you can build an inquiry list before contacting us.

Please note:

  • No customer account is created for wishlist or inquiry-list features.
  • Wishlist and inquiry-list contents remain in your browser until you remove them, clear browser storage, or the browser removes them.
  • Yarlix receives inquiry-list data only when you use a server-connected feature such as catalogue resolution or WhatsApp handoff.
  • Personal inquiry-form details such as your name, contact number, location and notes are not stored in Local Storage by the current website scripts. Those details are used to prepare the WhatsApp draft when you choose to continue on WhatsApp.

Cookies

The website uses essential cookies and similar technologies required for secure operation of the service. This includes Laravel session and security-related cookies that help keep authenticated admin sessions and form protections working correctly.

The site does not currently use advertising cookies.

The site does not currently use analytics cookies or third-party analytics scripts.

Because only essential functionality cookies are used for the public storefront and admin security, we do not display a separate cookie-consent banner for advertising or analytics choices at this time.

When information may be shared

Yarlix does not sell personal data.

Information may be shared only when reasonably necessary with:

  • WhatsApp / Meta when you choose the WhatsApp handoff
  • Courier or delivery providers
  • Suppliers, distributors, brands or authorized service centres for warranty or support
  • Hosting, database, storage, email and security service providers
  • Professional advisers where necessary
  • Government or regulatory authorities where legally required

International processing

Some technology providers that support hosting, databases, storage, email or security may process or store information outside Sri Lanka. Where that happens, processing is subject to applicable safeguards and the arrangements those providers maintain.

Retention

We do not apply one fixed retention period to every type of record. Instead:

  • Inquiry and customer-support information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected.
  • Transaction, warranty, return and refund records may be retained for operational, legal, accounting and dispute-resolution needs.
  • Security logs are retained for a limited operational period.
  • Information is deleted or anonymized when it is no longer reasonably required, subject to legal obligations.

Security

Yarlix applies reasonable organizational and technical safeguards intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss or misuse. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and we ask customers to share sensitive information only through appropriate private channels.

Your requests

You may contact yarlix.lk@gmail.com to request:

  • Access to personal information we hold about you
  • Correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion where applicable
  • Objection or withdrawal where applicable
  • Information about how we process personal information

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some information may need to be retained for legal, accounting, security or other legitimate purposes.

Children

The service is intended for persons aged 18 or older. A person under 18 should use the service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. Yarlix does not knowingly seek personal information directly from children for independent transactions.

Policy updates

We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices, systems or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised when a meaningful change is published.
